What happens if I lose one of my access cards - Am I at risk?
If
you lose one of your access cards, or think you may have lost one,
simply re-program the MyKey 2300 with your existing cards, and the
lost card will no longer be authorized to open your lock. It is then
no longer a security risk!
How
hard is it to install the MyKey 2300? Do I need to be a locksmith?

How
do I know the MyKey 2300 is attempting to read my RFID card?
When you are attempting to unlock the MyKey 2300, simply press the
single button on the front of the lock. A blue ring of light will glow
around the button for approximately 3 seconds, indicating that the
MyKey is attempting to read your RFID card. If you do not see the ring
of light around the button, your batteries may be dead- please read
the answer to the next question for opening your lock when your
batteries die.
What happens if the batteries die in the MyKey 2300?
The
MyKey 2300 is rated to last for one year on four (4) AA Batteries. If
they die, the MyKey2300 will power down in a locked state, making sure
to leave your home or office secure. For re-entry, simply place a
9-volt battery on the terminal located under the slide-up panel. Your
authorized RFID cards will work, and you can enter the pin on the
front panel as well- the MyKey 2300 stores the authorized RFID cards
and pin code, even in the event of a loss in battery power.
